OUWA.org – Dialysis Kidney Process. On a hot day, you get thirsty and drink water continuously from one glass to another … Next is the feeling of pee stems from two pea-shaped organs that act as sensors to refine the body. They balance the number of fluids in the body, detect waste products in the blood, and recognize when to supply life-sustaining vitamins, minerals, and hormones. The two organs are the kidneys.
The process of kidney dialysis place like?
The main role of the kidneys is to remove waste products, turning them into the urine. 8 liters of blood from the body passes through the kidneys about 20-25 times per day, meaning these 2 kidneys filter about 180 liters in 24 hours. The composition of blood substances changes as you digest food and water, so the kidneys work non-stop.
The blood enters the kidneys through the arteries and then continues to branch until it becomes the tiny blood vessels entwined in special parts of the kidney called the Nephron. Each kidney has 1 million Nephrons that form an extremely precise filter and sensor network to check meticulously all the blood in the body as it passes through here. For dialysis, each nephron uses 2 powerful organs: a water-drop structure called a glomerulus and a long tube-like a straw called the kidney tubule.

Balancing nutrients
The glomerulus acts as a filter allowing only certain substances, such as vitamins and minerals, to enter the renal tubules. Then, the job of this circuit is to determine which of these substances are needed and leave enough of the body needed to continue circulating in the blood.
Eliminate waste
But blood not only contains nutrients, but it also carries waste. Again a Nephron is needed to handle them. Kidney tubules detect compounds that the body does not need, such as urea, which is waste from the breakdown of proteins and expels them in the form of urine. The urethra sends urine containing waste products into the bladder and then passes out to the body.
Balance the amount of water
There is also water in urine. If the kidney detects that there is too much water in the blood it will carry excess water to the bladder to be expelled. On the other hand, if there is too little water in the blood, the kidneys release some back into the blood, meaning there will be less water in the urine. That is why urine is dark yellow when the body is dehydrated.
The kidneys also have the ability to activate vitamin D, which secretes a hormone Renin that increases blood pressure and another hormone, Erythropoietin, which helps increase red blood cell production. Without kidneys, the amount of fluid in the body loses control. The accumulation of waste will overload the body and die. Therefore, each kidney is responsible for keeping the system running smoothly that sustains life. And fortunately, we have 2 kidneys.
